Bronny Suffers Cardiac Arrest

Recent USC commit, Bronny James was rushed to the hospital last night after going into cardiac arrest during a workout. It was reported today that James is in stable condition and has recently been released from the ICU. During his senior season at Sierra Canyon, Bronny averaged 14 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. The James family issued a statement today thanking the entire USC medical staff for thier continued efforts to protect the schools athletes.

Barkley Settles For One Year

After trying to negotiate a new contract throughout the offseason, Giants running back, Saquan Barkley, signed a one year deal worth up to $12 million dollars. Barkley made it clear that he was not willing to play on a franchise tag and showed his frustration when a deal was not made by the deadline. The idea of running backs not getting their preferred deals is starting to trend throughout the NFL. Multiple players have taken to social media to express their thoughts. Players such as Christian McCaffery, Najee Harris, and Derrick Henry, have all stated that the market for running backs is getting out of hand.

Go Brown or Go Home!

Celtics star guard, Jaylen Brown, signed the richest contract in NBA history today, inking a five year, $304 million dollar extension. Brown is scheduled to make around $60 million dollars per year. Brown recieved some criticizm following his poor game 7 performance in the eastern conference finals vs the Miami Heat. Brown shot 8-23 while also recording 8 turnovers. Brown has been put on blast for his weak left hand. However, that didn't stop him from earning the richest contract in the history of the league.

Big Bank For Herbert!

After a disapointing loss in the postseason, Justin Herbert recieved criticism regarding his performance in choking a 27-3 lead vs the Jaguars. However, Herbert inked a five year, $262.5 million dollar extension today. Herbert's contract includes a no-trade clause as well as $133.7 million guaranteed. Herbert is due for an even better season than last, with the key addition of Quentin Johnston out of TCU. Johnston helped lead TCU to the National Championship along side Chargers rookie quarterback, Max Duggan.
