Crawford Finishes Off Spence!
Saturday night, Terence Crawford took on Errol Spence in what was considered one of the most anticipated fights of the decade. The two welterweight champions came into the fight with undefeated records. Neither Crawford or Spence had ever been knocked down in their career. The odds had Crawford favored at -150 but many boxing fanatics saw the fight as evently split. However, Crawford soon proved that this fight was not as even as people may of thought. Crawford caught Spence multiple times before finishing him off in the 9th round. Terence Crawford now is the undisputed champion for the Welterweight division and reigns supreme in the boxing world.
Gaethje Is Crowned BMF Belt
The main event for UFC 291 saw Dustin Poierier take on Justin Gaethje for the BMF title. Both fighters came into the fight on a one fight win streak with Poirier defeating Micheal Chandler and Gaethje defeating Rafael Fiziev. Poirier came into the fight as a -145 favorite while Gaethje was the underdog at +125. Gaethje soon shifted those odds, as in the second round, he delivered a nasty headkick that knocked Poireir out cold. Justin gathje claims the BMF belt and is in consideration for a future title shot.
JT Wants Out?
After being reported earlier in the week that the Colts did not offer star running back, Jonathan Taylor, a new contract, it has been taken a step further as Taylor has now requested to be traded from the team. Following the worst year of his young career, Taylor has shown frustration with the Colts front office. Taylor finished this past season with 861 yards and only 4 touchdowns. This is a major step back for Taylor as he is only 2 years removed from his best year in his career where he tallied 1,811 yards and a whopping 18 touchdowns!
Apple Inks With Miami
Following the injury to Dolphins cornerback, Jalen Ramsey, the team has reached an agreement with former Bengals corner, Eli Apple. With Ramsey sidelined for around 6-8 weeks, Apple is set to step in with Xavian Howard and complete a already stacked defense. Apple is most known for his time in Cincinnati where he finished with 2 interceptions and over 100 tackles.
