Torn Achilles For Patrick
For the 2nd year in a row, Broncos reciever, Tim Patrick, has suffered a season ending injury. Last year, Patrick tore his ACL during the early stages of training camp. Similarly, Patrick tore his Achilies this year during the begining of training camp. Patrick went undrafted in the 2017 NFL draft coming out of Utah. In his career, Patrick has managed to catch 143 balls for 2,009 yards and 12 touchdowns. Ultimatly a very sad injury for the young reciever.
Is Dame Time Ticking Down?
Over the last two months, Blazers guard, Damian Lillard, has been seeking a new destination via trade. From the start of the process, Lillard has made it clear to the Blazers that he wanted to be delt to the Miami Heat. However, the Blazers have not been satisfied with what Miami has to offer. Earlier in the week, NBA insider, Shams Charania, gave an inside look on what the Heat may have to offer for Lillard. The offer includes up to four first round picks, pick swaps, multiple 2nd round picks, Tyler Herro, expiring contracts, and a multitude of young players. It had also been reported that the Heat are the only team continuing to persue the future Hall of Famer.
Ant Switches To 5
After wearing the number 1 for his first three years in the league, Wolves guard, Anthony Edwards has made the decision to switch back to number 5. This number was worn by Edwards throughout his AAU, Highschool, and College career. Edwards made the decision due to the fact that the number has history for him and brings back fond memories of when he was younger.
NFL Executives Give Out Quarterback Tiers
In a recent conference, NFL coaches and executives sorted current quarterbacks into tiers. In the first tier was Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Aaron Rodgers. In the second tier was Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Trevor Lawrence, Dak Presscott, Matthew Stafford, Deshaun Watson and Kirk Cousins. The third tier was headlined by Kyler Murray, followed by Jared Godd, Derek Carr, Russell Wilson, Geno Smith, Tua Tagovailoa, Jimmy Garoppolo, Daniel Jones, Justin Fields, Ryan Tannehill, and Mac Jones. The forth and final tier included Brock Purdy, Kenny Pickett, Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love, Desmond Ridder, Sam Howell, and Gardner Minshew. A very interesting list coming from the executives and coaches.Â
